Neil Getnick debated Peter Hutt, who represented the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, on the merits of the Chamber of Commerce’s proposal to amend the False Claims Act to “cap” whistleblower rewards at 15% of the government’s recovery. The debate was hosted at Cornell Law School, with whom Getnick Law launched a first-of-its-kind course teaching students about whistleblower law and business integrity.
Mr. Getnick, who serves as Chairman of Taxpayers Against Fraud, cited a key report by the organization demonstrating the importance of protecting, rewarding, and empowering whistleblowers to fight fraud and corruption.
