Managing Partner Neil V. Getnick was recently quoted in a Crain’s New York Business article discussing the increasingly important role of the whistleblower in the government’s fight against financial fraud. In the piece, “It’s the Season of the Snitch – Big Payouts and Changes in Law Have Whistleblowers Singing to Authorities,” Mr. Getnick speaks to the necessity of significant whistleblower rewards in this area: “People in financial services are very highly compensated, and if you want them to report wrongdoing, then there have to be rewards that make sense.”
