Partner Lesley Ann Skillen Appears on Fraud in America Podcast
G&G Partner Lesley Ann Skillen recently appeared on the Fraud in America podcast alongside former client Cheryl Eckard Meads.
Discussing The GlaxoSmithKline Case
G&G represented Ms. Meads in a whistleblower case against pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline that led to the drug company agreeing to pay the government $750 million to settle civil and criminal charges that it manufactured and sold adulterated drug products to Medicaid and other government health plans. As part of the settlement, the Department of Justice awarded G&G’s client, Ms. Meads, $96 million of the federal portion of the recovery. This was the largest reward for a single whistleblower in U.S. history.
The podcast, hosted by Jeb White, President & CEO at Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund, explores Ms. Meads’ whistleblower case and the role played by Ms. Skillen and the G&G team in successfully bringing GlaxoSmithKline to justice.
