Margaret Finerty Chairs Webinar On COVID-19 Financial Relief Fund Fraud
Getnick Law Partner Margaret J. Finerty is the Chair of Taxpayers Against Fraud’s COVID-19 Finance Subcommittee. On February 9, 2021, the Finance Subcommittee will present a legal education webinar addressing the various financial assistance programs that the Government has made available to individuals and businesses in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Among other things, the webinar will cover key assistance programs, the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee (PRAC), the Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery (SIGPR), examples of fraudulent schemes, and practical considerations for whistleblower lawyers when pursuing COVID-19 financial assistance fraud cases under the FCA.
Ms. Finerty’s Finance Subcommittee is a key component of the TAF’s COVID-19 Task Force.
