Cornell Law School Business Integrity Fund
Getnick Law is committed to developing cutting-edge business integrity and anti-corruption practices. Partners Neil Getnick and Margaret Finerty, both graduates of Cornell Law School, established the Business Integrity Fund in 2012 to promote the study of integrity-driven business practices at Cornell Law School.
Developing Business Integrity Studies
The Fund sponsored the first whistleblower law course in the nation co-taught by former Dean Stewart Schwab and Neil Getnick. The course focused on citizen-initiative enforcement under the qui tam provisions of the federal and state False Claims Acts and other whistleblower laws, including the SEC, CFTC, and IRS whistleblower programs. The course featured more than forty guest lecturers composed of leading practitioners representing plaintiffs, defendants, and the government, including Getnick Law partners Margaret Finerty and Lesley Ann Skillen, and former Getnick Law whistleblower client Cheryl Eckard whose False Claims Act case resulted in a $750 million global recovery for the government.
The Fund is planning to sponsor the launch of a new course in the Spring of 2024.
