Global Practice Counsel Luis Moreno-Ocampo Delivers Keynote Address
Getnick & Getnick’s Global Practice Counsel, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, delivered a Keynote Address at New York Symposium of The Raoul Wallenberg Legacy of Leadership Project, honoring the legacy of Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat whose successful efforts saved tens of thousands from the Nazi persecution during the Second World War. The Leadership Project convenes public events “with recognized advocates for genocide prevention and human rights, echoing the indispensable message that every individual can make a difference in standing up against mass atrocities.”
Moreno-Ocampo was the first Chief Prosecutor of the permanent International Court, based at The Hague (June 2003-June2012). His office was involved in twenty of the most serious crises of the 21st Century, including Iraq, Korea, Afghanistan, and Palestine.
