Luis Moreno Ocampo to Speak at International Bar Association Conference in Tokyo This Week
Global Practice Counsel Luis Moreno Ocampo will take part in a panel of globally distinguished speakers at the International Bar Association 2014 Conference in Tokyo this week. The IBA Conference is the largest gathering of international lawyers annually, with speakers including former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Mary Robinson, former Vice President Al Gore, and Felipe Colderon, former President of Mexico. The Conference Opening Ceremony was addressed by the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, and attended by the Japanese Emperor and Empress. Mr. Moreno Ocampo’s session is entitled: “The ICC-Africa Agenda: A Legitimate Check On Impunity And Rights Abuses Or Crass Misconception Of African Polity and Persecution of African Leaders?”
